"Fanø Golf Weeks"



The “Fanø Golf Weeks” is the biggest and oldest open golf tournament in Denmark. It is held during the last two weeks of July, and the players compete for many historic cups.
The International Golf Championship of Denmark was held in 1901 on Fanø Golf Links. The cup was won by the Bremen Golf Club, where it can still be found.

Only golfers with updated DGU card or quivalent.

Junior matches (14 years and under).
Junior matches will be organised during the Fanø Weeks. In the senior-junior group, the seniors must be at least 21 years old. The senior-junior tournament will be divided into a tournament for junior golfers with handicaps of 36 or less, and a tournament for junior golfers with handicaps over 36. For junior golfers who have not participated in the junior tournaments in the Fanø Weeks, the maximum handicap is 36, unless documentation of a registered home-club handicap is presented. Caddies are not allowed in any junior matches.
The organisers reserve the right to make changes.
The matches are held in accordance with the DGU regulations in effect at the time in question. Participation is only permitted for holders of updated DGU cards or the equivalent. The committee reserves the right to adjust a given handicap downward. Unless otherwise specified, the highest handicap is 36. The finals shall be played at the specified times and dates unless the organisers have been informed in writing by the players of conflicting arrangements. Said arrangements must however be approved by the match committee. All matches, with the exception of the men's and women's championships, are net matches. The offered cups are kept by Fanø Golf Links and may not be taken home by the winners. Fanø Golf Links is in charge of engraving the cups. Match fee for : DKK 50.00, including VAT.
